Parul Dev, MD
Dr. Dev received her medical degree from Chaudhray Charan Singh University, L.L.R. Memorial Medical College, Meerut, UP, India. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry and a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Dev is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Swati Gaur, MD
Dr. Swati Gaur is a provider with New Horizons Limestone who specializes in Geriatric Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Ghandi Medical College. Dr. Gaur is board certified in Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Gaur serves as the Medical Director and the founder of Palliative Care Program at Northeast Georgia Health System. She is a physician leader and educator for Antibiotic stewardship program in LTC with Northeast Georgia Health System and currently a member of AMDA’s Infection Advisory Committee.
Antonio Rios, MD
Dr. Rios received his medical degree from La Salle University in Mexico City, Mexico and completed his residency training in internal medicine at Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Rios has been an integral part of Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) and Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) since 1999. He currently serves as the chief physician executive for NGPG and as the Chairman of the Georgia Board for Physician Workforce. Dr. Rios serves on different committees such as the Physician Leadership Team and as the former Chief of Medicine and gives back to the community by volunteering at Good News Clinics. Dr. Rios teaches and mentors medical students from both allopathic and osteopathic medicine, physician assistants and nurse practitioner students from a variety of schools.
Carol Hanlon
Carol Hanlon is the current President of Wisdom Project 2030, Inc. (www.WisdomProject2030.org), a non-profit which prepares individuals age 55 and older to use their wisdom, experience, and talents to improve life in Gainesville and Hall County through action and advocacy. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the University of North Georgia’s Institute for Healthy Aging. Carol retired from the U.S. State Department after ten rewarding years as a Foreign Service Officer working on political, economic, and consular issues in Afghanistan, Australia, Iraq, Pakistan, and Thailand. Prior to the Foreign Service, Carol spent 25 years working on international finance and marketing issues in the private sector. Carol has an international MBA from the Thunderbird School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in the French language and Business Administration (University of Wisconsin-River Falls).
Phillippa Lewis-Moss
Phillippa Lewis Moss is the Director of the Gainesville-Hall Community Service Center. The Community Service Center is a jointly supported agency of the City of Gainesville and Hall County that has been in operation for over three decades. During this time, the center has been home to Meals on Wheels, Senior Life Center, Hall Area Transit Community Outreach, Center for Family Prosperity, Counseling & Psychotherapy, Parenting Education and much more. Ms. Moss’ educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California Irvine, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Master of Conflict Management from Kennesaw State University. She is a registered mediator with the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution. She is also the Administrative Director for the Gainesville-Hall County Community Council on Aging, a member of the Gainesville Kiwanis Club and serves on several boards to include Salvation Army, Jackson EMC Foundation, Georgia Transit Association, Hall County Family Connections Network, North Georgia Community Foundation, United Way, Northeast Georgia Medical Center Board and the Greater Hall County Chamber of Commerce. Phillippa resides in Suwanee with her husband and son.
David Gladson
David Gladson is a Bereavement Counselor with the Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, where he cares for over 200 bereaved families annually. With over 15 years of experience walking with others through grief, loss, and spiritual distress in hospital, hospice and behavioral health environments, David has a sensitivity to the struggles of others that allow them to go deep together and find healing in one-on-one or group settings. His extensive experience provides new clients the benefits of learning from the countless others who have come through our doors in the past. A native of Northeast Tennessee and Upstate South Carolina, David loves traditional music, acting in theatrical farces, hiking and spending time with his three children.
Pamela Elfenbein, PhD
Dr. Pamela Elfenbein has earned a Master’s in Social Work and a PhD in Sociology, and is a Fellow of the Academy for Gerontology in Higher Education. She is a Professor and the Director of the University of North Georgia Institute for Healthy Aging, and is the current Chair of the Legacy Link Board of Directors. She has over 30 years experience practicing and teaching in the field of gerontology. Now, as Director of the Institute for Healthy Aging she develops and oversees academic programming and community initiatives designed to enhance quality of life for older adults in our region. Dr. Elfenbein employs a holistic interdisciplinary and intergenerational approach to healthy aging, health promotion, and disease prevention and seeks new and creative ways to engage our community.
Pastor Matthew Little
Matthew Little is the founding pastor of Kingdom Builders Fellowship Church located in Atlanta, GA. Pastor Little served as the previous President of the Interdenominational Black Ministerial Association Gainesville/Hall County (IBMA) for six years. He currently serves as a Chaplain for the Gainesville City Police Department. Pastor Little is passionate about community outreach and the educational success of young people. Pastor resides in Gainesville with his lovely wife, Adondra and two wonderful children, Arriana and Matthew Jr.
Bonnie Kin, PhD
Dr. Bonnie Kin is trained as a clinical geropsychologist. She received her B.A. in psychology and Master’s in community psychology from California State University Dominguez Hills. Dr. Kin completed her Ph.D. at Alliant University, Los Angeles with specializations in health psychology and geropsychology. She is currently a Professor of Psychology and Director of the M.S. in Applied Gerontology program at Brenau University. Dr. Kin has over 30 years experience practicing and teaching in the field of geropsychology, gerontology and geriatrics. Her specialization is the research and psychosocial treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Dr. Kin serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Gerontology Society. She is a member of the American Psychological Association , the Georgia Psychological Association, the American Society on Aging, the Gerontological Society of America, and the Georgia Gerontology Society.
