The outcome goals for focusing on Self Sufficiency are to help people gain life skills through education and resources.

What We Know *

  • % of babies born to Hall County mothers with less than 12th grade education is double Georgia's %.
  • According to the 2000 Census, 29.5% of Hall County adults 25+ did not have a High School diploma compared with 21% in state.
  • Number of Hall County residents age 60+ has increased steadily since the 2000 Census.
  • The Guest House has also seen an increase in the average daily attendance (ADA). Compared to 2006, the ADA has increased by 16% to 20 clients per day.

Indicators *

  • Number of GED diplomas awarded increases annually.
  • % of low income Hall County working families spending more than 40% of income on housing costs decreases.
  • Number of Hall County households reporting income more than 2.5 times federal poverty guidelines decreases.
