How We Invest

One of the most important roles United Way of Hall County has is investing donor dollars effectively and efficiently. Each year, over 50 trained and committed community volunteers build relationships with Partner Agencies and Community Partners to invest contributions in the four focus areas of Children & Youth, Crisis Intervention, Self Sufficiency, and Health. Of all funds raised, 99 cents out of every dollar stays with United Way of Hall County. With the help of corporate sponsorships to defray costs and responsible financial stewardship, United Way can maximize your donation to improve lives in Hall County.

The Community Building Committee analyzes community data to set the vision for United Way's investment in Hall County. Responsibilities of this committee include:
  • Strategic planning for Community Building work
  • Community Building policy development
  • Research and recommendation to Board of investment and allocation of funds
  • Monitors partnership outcomes to ensure achievement of focus area goals
The Community Investment Committee establishes an ongoing relationship with Partner Agencies and Community Partners to ensure alignment with United Way's mission and focus areas. Responsibilities of this committee include:
  • Gain knowledge of issues related to focus areas
  • Serves as year-round liaison between partner agency/program and United Way of Hall County
  • Recommend allocation of Community Investment funds to Community Building committee
  • Conducts bi-annual Partner Agency and Community Partner reviews
